1. Gelatin
2. Camphor spirits
3. Alum
4. Glycerin
5. Orange flower water
6. Anhydrous lanolin
7. Tincture of benzoin
In a bowl, combine two teaspoons of orange flower water and 1 ¼ teaspoons of alum. When the alum
dissolves, add 3 teaspoons of gelatin. When it softens, add ¼ cup glycerin and mix. Put this solution in a double boiler and heat until the gelatin is totally dissolved. Add one cup of lanolin, ¼ teaspoon tincture of benzoin and ¼ teaspoon camphor spirits.
Blend these ingredients and remove from the heat. Using a mixer, beat until the solution is cool and
creamy. This can be applied to the skin nightly and left on for about 10 minutes. Keep the mixture in an airtight jar for use each night.

potatoes? Slicing a potato and placing it under the eyes as well as on your skin will help to remove

approximately 30 minutes to one hour, remove and wash your face. You may also rub the juice from
